My name is David, and I'm a solo developer from Germany building HeadAhead from the ground up. Every feature, every pixel, every line of code - it all comes from one desk.
HeadAhead is in active development. New things get added, tweaked, and improved constantly. The game you play today might be noticeably different from the game you play next week.
Most competitive games reward fast reflexes or time investment. HeadAhead rewards prediction. Both players plan their movement and shooting simultaneously, with no idea what the other is doing. When the turn plays out, you see who read the situation better.
Bullets don't disappear after one turn - they ricochet off walls and obstacles, staying in the arena for several turns. Every shot you fire creates a lasting hazard that both you and your opponent need to navigate. The arena gets more dangerous with every turn, and planning around all those bouncing bullets is where the real depth lives.
There's no randomness in the core mechanics. The outcome is determined entirely by player decisions and physics. If you lose, you got outplayed - and you can learn from it.
HeadAhead is free to play and always will be. The long-term plan includes cosmetic customization, ranked competitive play, and community features - but the core game will always be free and fair. No pay-to-win, ever.
